I've written so many stories at waffle house! I never considered writing one about waffle House! one quick reminiscence from when they still smoked inside, it was one of the last places allowed... I ordered an orange juice, they dispense from one of those machines with a large tank, I watched the waitress put out her cigarette then put her arm elbow deep in the tank of OJ to unclog it and pour my juice.
also sitting at the counter/bar and getting splashed when they rinsed dishes with the hose, I miss those days!
and I miss the old menus. berts chili, libs patty melt, ...
