Sooper doops ol' chum, I got strongly nostalgic feelins for a squat in the glum city and a gristly frank or two to chew on with my grubby companions

Ah, the sojourners in this captivating tale remind me of a man my grandma used to buy tea and a ham sandwich (with brown sauce, missus!) for when I was a kid. He never seemed quite ‘here’ but was always ‘there’. And sometimes, he would look me in the eye as if he had seen everything.

Brilliant, Jon.

I think ham sandwiches may be the shortcuts to transformative experiences. But who knows?

So visceral! I can taste those hot dogs..

I wonder if the protagonist is escaping from a cult or something like that?

Sure does feel like that. But! Did she escape it? Or is she creating it anew? I told JT I want this to be a novel.

When I read your stuff, I feel like I'm a visitor to a foreign land where they speak in a strange mashup of English and some long-forgotten spirit tongue. Equal parts acid-soaked waking dream sequence and sheer poetry. Uniquely Jon T. Great stuff, man.

Out of body. Another perfect Jon T road trip. I swear, your stories have a staying power that's nothing short of supernatural. Second the novel idea. You should get on that. Like right now. I'll wait.

You being serious, Jon? Don't tease me. You really don't want to know how many times I've reread Palimpsest. It would be embarrassing for both of us.

I may try, though, I don’t think I have the patience. But I have done a bit of speculative planning. A bit.

I'm go ahead and get excited. I think a JT original that breaks 20k-- that you would allow to break 20k-- would be nothing short of mind-blowing. Will be channeling good thoughts once the skies clear up.

This is so breathless and full of momentum. I love the pacing, the choppy sentences.
