This ...is absolutely disgusting. And hilarious. I'm glad I hate baths. Always a shower for me. Especaially now.

Ha! Thank you, Nick!

Perfection truly 😭😭😭 I loved every bit

Thank you, NJ! Happy you enjoyed it!

As horrible as intended!

Aagh! Disgusting and horrifying in the best possible ways! The tub gobbler! I sort of feel like yurking a little, but I’m too satisfied with this delightful morsel.

William Pauley III's avatar

Mission accomplished! 🤣🤣🤣

Jeannine Lawall's avatar

Oh good lord. I don't think I'll ever want to shower again!

William Pauley III's avatar

It should be fine, unless you hear the drain gurgle... 😳

Jeannine Lawall's avatar

Heh, thanks for that little bit of nightmare fodder! 😂

You never fail to amaze. I had to set down my food because of this. Might not eat the rest of the day.

William Pauley III's avatar

Kind of you to say! Thank you! Sorry I ruined your appetite, but as long as you drink plenty of water you'll be fine. Unless I put you off water, too... 🛁

horrifying and fantastic. I always love visiting the tower.

William Pauley III's avatar

Thanks so much, EJ! 🍻

That was some weird shit! 😂❤️

Also — freakazoid is a criminally-underused word 👏🏻

William Pauley III's avatar

Oh, I totally agree. It's a great word. 👌

Thanks for reading, Stephen! 🍻

Jeeezus. Glad breakfast was a while ago 🤢

Good one. The repulsion of it just keeps you reading, and reading.

William Pauley III's avatar

🤣🤣🤣 I'm sorry I'm like this. 😅

Perfectly bizarre and creepy and gross. It gives me Lawnmower Man vibes (the short story, not the goofy 90s movie).

William Pauley III's avatar

Oh, nice! I love that story (and the cheesy movie, too)! Thank you, Layne!

Layne Mercer's avatar

I’ll admit I have a soft spot for the movie as well. It just doesn’t involve eating large quantities of grass or hairy bathwater.

William Pauley III's avatar

Yeah, two totally different entities, for sure, but I enjoyed both equally. I love 80s cheese though. It might even be my favorite kind of movie ever.

Todd Anderson's avatar

Gross, but so enjoyable (to read). Hmm, about the toilet man…some other time.

Jack Everly's avatar

Pipes are always a great landscape for horror. What is down there anyway?

William Pauley III's avatar

A very, very bad man. 😬

Sandolore Sykes's avatar

ah ha! It's a man! Part II?

William Pauley III's avatar

GOBLA part 2:

"He's still here, mom..." 🫨

Jack Everly's avatar

Yup. Got that!

Ken Flyingheart's avatar

So good, WP! You rolled through it perfectly. All senses activated in the most effective way. So glad you’re like this!

William Pauley III's avatar

Ken! Thank you so much! Kind of you to say. Glad you enjoyed it! 🍻

Ken Flyingheart's avatar

Always, WP. Been blocking it up, why I haven't been by. But your pieces are awesome. You know I love Doom Fiction to pieces!

William Pauley III's avatar

Thank you, my friend. The love is mutual!

Starbie B.'s avatar

This was so gross (complimentary). I loved it!

William Pauley III's avatar

Glad it didn't ruin your day! 😅🤣 Thanks for reading, Starbie! 🙏

She should think like an entrepreneur, instead of being so negative.

Bottle the water. SELL IT.

Bottle the clog. SELL IT.

EVERY STORE SHOULD HAVE GOBLA!

Like, they're even giving her the brand name. I'm tellin' you, people don't wan't to work nowadays.

This was a trip! I'm a sucker for a story that takes place in one enclosed setting (like SAW 1).

It's the strained relationship with the mother that does it for me, that's the connection that needs unclogging.

Fun af

PS:

The Gobla when read out loud is identical to the sound of a clogged drain 'regurgitating'. The onomatopoeia is *chef's kiss*

William Pauley III's avatar

Thank you, Pablo! You understand me. 🫠 Oh, and Sandolore wrote a response letter from the mother that shut Sylvia out—no money, nothing. And that's part of the continuity now, so if you want to write GOBLA 2 and expand on this clog bottling scheme (now that Sylvia has to fall back on Plan B), you're more than welcome to. I'd love to read it!

Pablo Báez's avatar

Yo! If that’s real I would LOVE to dive into the 8 BT!

Absolutely!

Gotta read that letter then

William Pauley III's avatar

It's in the DOOM FICTION chat in the thread with the GOBLA pic. Can't miss it.
